The Magic of the Draft ✨
There’s something special about the NFL Draft every single year — but this time around, it hit a little deeper. I got to watch the first few picks with my son, who’s finally starting to understand what it means to be drafted. Seeing that lightbulb go off in him made the moment even better.
These young men aren’t just hearing their names called — they’re stepping into dreams they’ve chased since Pop Warner. That moment on stage is years of early mornings, late nights, and relentless grind finally paying off.
Big Moves from Day 2 🔄
Day 2 brought a flurry of movement and some unexpected picks. The Browns added Oregon QB Dillon Gabriel — a solid move that could be sneaky smart. The Saints locked down a physical tackle, and the Raiders made a strong move to tighten up the defense.
One of the boldest plays? Seattle traded up to grab South Carolina safety Nick Emmanwori at No. 35. That pick tells me they’re looking to reload that secondary with toughness and football IQ 🧠. It’s a chess move for sure.

Shedeur’s Still Waiting ⏳
Now, let’s talk about the story that’s taking over everyone’s feed — Shedeur Sanders hasn’t been drafted yet. No one saw this slide coming. There’s been speculation about fit, maturity, and style of play, but the talent is still there. Somebody’s going to get a baller at a discount.
Then came a moment that crossed the line — Shedeur received a prank call live on stream from someone pretending to be an NFL team 😤. He handled it well, but that kind of thing highlights just how much these young athletes go through under a microscope.
His brother Shilo hasn’t been drafted either — but that’s more expected. He could still hear his name called on Day 3, or he might need to take the undrafted route.

Eyes on Day 3 👀
The last day of the draft is always fun to watch — and sometimes where you find the biggest surprises. It’s where teams look for heart, hustle, and value. And it’s where players who’ve been overlooked finally get their shot 💪.
I can’t wait to see who gets that call today. Watching it with my son has made this year’s draft something I’ll remember for a long time. He’s asking good questions, learning the game, and seeing what the highest level of football really looks like.
Keep chasing growth. Stay sharp. Pursue the IQ.
